①Take the blueberries out of the refrigerator, if using frozen blueberries, let them thaw and drain the excess water. If the soft cheese is very hard, it can be softened at room temperature until it is easy to stir.
②In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
③In another bowl, combine the milk, yogurt, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix well.
④Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to over mix so the muffins don't become too compact.
⑤Gently stir the blueberries into the batter, making sure they are evenly distributed. Tear the soft cheese cubes into small pieces and add to the batter. Stir gently to distribute the cheese cubes evenly in the batter.
⑥Heat some butter or vegetable oil on a pan or griddle. Form a small round muffin with about 1/4 cup of the batter, and sprinkle the muffin with some bread crumbs if desired.
